Here are a sample of images of the new NB headquarters based in Allston, Boston. The new building and the planned facilities are going to transform this part of Boston and create a new transport hub once the new train line is completed. The architects behind the new building are Elkus Manfredi based out of Boston also.
The new building has a prominent place next to I-90 and so people entering and leaving the city along this route have seen the building go up over the past couple of years. The building has been liken by some as a cruise ship which I can identify with, but its sleek design gives it a very streamlined feel to it.
The local area, Boston Landing will also soon be home to training facilities for the Boston Celtics and Bruins as well as providing retail leasing options for other companies and is already home to the onsite New Balance store. This will bring a new buzz to an already upcoming area of Boston, to compete with some of the location downtown.
It is also going to be home to office and residential space as well as the location of a new hotel and somewhere to head for shopping and eating. Once completed this will be a large multi use space that can be used by a vast array of people looking for different experiences.
